EARLVILLE OPERA HOUSE ANNOUNCES SPECIAL ASSISTANCE FUND FOR ORGANIZATIONS AND ARTISTS

Earlville Opera House announces a new short-term special assistance fund for organizations and artists beginning July 15, 2024. One-time grants of up to $500 are available on a first come-first serve basis pending availability of funds and approval of request by Earlville Opera House staff.  Organizations and artists must contact EOH staff directly for application instructions.

This stipend is designed for unexpected expenses or opportunities during calendar year 2024 that may or may not be related to any funding currently provided by the EOH. Examples might include an opportunity for a guest artist, assistance with a sudden need in production completion, a travel or study option within New York State to enhance one’s career or expertise, training of staff or board in critical administrative areas including board development, artist supplies, etc. This should not be considered an extension of a previous grant, but a sudden or unexpected event that could not have been planned for.

Expenditure of grant funds must take place by December 31, 2024. To check availability of funds and eligibility, contact Victoria Kappel, Grants Coordinator, at [email protected].

The Special Assistance Fund is a program of Arts in the Community Grants (ACG). The Broome, Chenango & Otsego ACG Program serves as a catalyst for local cultural development by supporting projects of artists and arts organizations that engage children, adults and seniors in events that enrich and enhance their lives. Funding provided through these programs helps to strengthen our communities by reaching the most rural of our townships and villages, providing increased access to a greater quality of life through the arts.  Earlville Opera House has been strongly rooted in the artistic community since 1892 and remains committed to that legacy of community service established over three different centuries.
