The Earlville Opera House, Inc. was founded in 1972 as a not-for-profit, volunteer-based, community service organization. It’s focus is on promoting the arts in a rural region of central New York by offering programs of cultural, educational, and historical significance.
Of equal importance is preserving and restoring the architectural and historic integrity of the Earlville Opera House, a unique second-story theater constructed in 1892.
As we celebrate engaging and supporting the arts for over 50 years as a multi-arts center, we thank artist, activist, and cultural visionary Joey Skaggs for saving the Earlville Opera House building on the historic Douglass Block in Earlville, NY.
