Le Vent du Nord

"Featuring button accordion, guitar and fiddle, the band’s sound is defined by the hurdy-gurdy, which adds an earthy, rough-hewn flavor to even the most buoyant dance tunes.” — Boston Herald
The award winning and highly acclaimed band Le Vent du Nord is a leading force in Quebec’s progressive francophone folk movement. The group’s vast repertoire draws from both traditional sources and original compositions, while enhancing it’s hard-driving soulful music (rooted in the Celtic diaspora) with a broad range of global influences.
“Incredible performance!”

CALL FOR MURAL ARTISTS: Request for Proposals (RFP)

Earlville Opera House, 18 East Main Street, Earlville, New York, 13332 is seeking proposals for an outdoor mural on a brick wall in our newly expanded Courtyard. We are asking mural artists to submit a quote and an itemization of what is included in the quote. Please also state anything that might be needed for the project but is not included in your quote, such as scaffolding or lift, etc. Please include the number of days you anticipate this project will take to complete.
The wall is approximately 30 ft high and 30 ft wide. However, the mural does not have to cover the entire wall. Approximately 20 ft x 20 ft would suffice.
The style must be trompe l’oeil as we are looking for a realistic representation of the actual interior of the 1892 historic National Landmark theater and a realistic representation of a band playing on the stage.
The wall as shown in the photo is brick with patches of plaster. Please indicate if you can create the mural with the wall as existing or would need the Opera House to modify. It is to the Opera House's financial advantage for the mural to be painted without modification. If this is not workable for you, please let us know.
We request use of Golden Paintworks Mural and Theme paint.
Please see the image of an AI concept of what we are looking for. It is based on an actual photo of the interior and a photo of the exterior. The musicians are fictional. It may be helpful for you to visit the site. If this is something you intend to do, please call and speak to Michelle Connelly, the Executive Director, to arrange a time and date, (315) 691-3550.
Please include samples of past mural images you’ve created.
PROPOSAL DEADLINE: April 30, 2025.
Proposals can be submitted by emailing [email protected] or be physically mailed to: Earlville Opera House, PO 111, Earlville, NY 13332
