John Kelsey- John Kelsey is a fingerstyle guitarist who has parlayed his right hand finger picking technique into playing a wide variety of performance styles. He studied finger picking under the great Gene Rice, a legendary Utica area teacher and Grammy Award winning Nashville producer. John has a long history of playing in numerous award winning bands, acoustic groups and duos, and solo work playing classical method, folk, country, blues, R & B, and acoustic music. He’s performed in Central NY for the last 49 years. He’s proficient on nylon, steel, and bronze strings.
Giancarlo Sidoli- Giancarlo Sidoli is professor of classical guitar at Hartwick College. He has performed solo recitals and chamber music throughout NY with occasional engagements in Massachussetts and Pennsylvania for the past 18 years. His current research and arranging projects center on the folk music heritage of Scotland, Ireland, England, and North America through the lens of the classical guitar.
Dennis Turechek- Dennis Turechek taught guitar and jazz history at Hartwick College and the University State College at Oneonta for 30+ years and is retired at both institutions. Dennis is one of a hand full of guitarists who is equally at home in the classical and jazz idioms as represented on his 5 cd's on the Lil' Pumpkin label. He is a cofounder and member emeritus of the Classical Guitar Society of Upstate New York after serving 10 years as its president. He worked with Tom Rasely at the Guitar School in Norwich some 20 years ago and is pleased to be working with him again.
