Artist Statement
I believe that natural beauty is all around us, no matter where we live. We just need to learn to see, appreciate, and enjoy what I call "beauty in the ordinary". It doesn't need to be an exotic animal or a rare plant, beauty is present in our everyday lives, but we need to change our way of looking for and seeing that beauty.
About Bill
As far back as I can remember, I was attracted to the outdoors. We lived near the Susquehanna River and we (my brother and I) would spend hours fishing, catching Crayfish and doing things that little boys do.
My uncles introduced me to hunting at an early age, which taught me one of the most valuable skills a wildlife photographer can attain: patience, patience, and more patience.
My love for hunting hasn’t subsided but now I spend my days with a camera in my hand, not a gun. I have no issue with hunters in general, as they usually are students of the woods and are interested in many of the same things as photographers. I just choose to use a different weapon. I get the same thrill of being in nature as I did in my younger days, but now I take home only pictures. For me, it never gets old. I am never bored in nature, there is still so much to see and learn!
